HAKEEM’s loose, genre-bending style is a discovery journey into deep soulful sounds across the spectrum. His crate digging loot always spawns the forgotten classic, the timeless nugget or that familiar break.He also produces under the moniker Pocket Candy, with his debut EP, Dreamin', released on Copenhagen's BraveTrax label in September 2025.
As a DJ, his sets are a celebration of eclecticism, blending charged rhythmic tension with obscure, seductive textures. Drawing from a deep well of knowledge that spans tech house, deep techno, and UK-influenced club sounds, he masterfully weaves together seemingly disparate elements—an approach honed through years of immersion in the scene.
He's the founder of Bubbling Inside an event series and radio residency at Radio Panini, celebrating left-field club sounds.Besides DJing, over the past few years HAKEEM has been active in the local Copenhagen scene by taking different roles in the community such as Event Manager at Strøm Festival, Stage Designer at Kune Festival, Artist Care for In Situ Festival and Producer at Drift Radio.
