HAKEEM’s loose, genre-bending style is a discovery journey into deep soulful sounds across the spectrum. His crate digging loot always spawns the forgotten classic, the timeless nugget or that familiar break.
His DJ sets are a celebration of eclecticism, blending charged rhythmic tension with obscure, seductive textures. Drawing from a deep well of knowledge that spans progressive house, techno, and UK-influenced club sounds, he masterfully weaves together seemingly disparate elements—an approach honed through years of immersion in the scene.
Besides DJing, over the past few years HAKEEM has been active in the local Copenhagen scene by taking different roles at Strøm Festival, Kune and In Situ Festival, as well as Drift Radio and his former multidisciplinary collective, Second Nature.He's also the founder and resident at Bubbling Inside a party and mix series celebrating euphoric, percussive and bass-driven sounds.
